The Golden Nugget's pool is called The Tank – a $30 million complex that features a shark tank aquarium that allows guests to get up close to the some of the ocean's sleekest and deadliest creatures. The complex includes a three-story water slide, the H2O bar, a more secluded pool (the Hideout) and several private cabanas. The cover charge is $20 for all non-hotel guests.
The Tank is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., weather permitting. The Jacuzzi and The Hideout are open each day from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m., weather permitting. The H2O Bar is open 10 a.m. to 2 a.m.
The Hideout, which is accessible from the third floor of the Tank, offers a secluded pool experience for guests ages 16 and older, featuring eight plush poolside cabanas. Chaise lounges can be rented at the Hideout for a daily fee of $20. Chairs may be rented for $10.
Tours of the 200,000-gallon Shark Tank aquarium are $30 per person. Tours, which include a shark's tooth, begin at 3:30 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays. For reservations, call 866-946-5336.
