Our Mission
Empowering Nevada’s young people with the skills, mentoring and resources to successfully enter life-changing employment and careers and build prosperity.
Our Vision
Ensure students have the support needed to graduate and enter a sustainable career pathway.
Our Goals
Programs: JAG Nevada strives to support Nevada’s historically underserved students by providing opportunity and access to a career that pays a living wage and offers a pathway out of poverty.
People: JAG Nevada’s commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion is built into the organization’s values and DNA, and this commitment is reflected in the students we serve and the staff and leadership team that makes the program successful. The program is designed to address academic inequality and opportunity gaps for those that have often been left out. As we celebrate our 10th anniversary, we are also celebrating having served more than 20,000 young people.
Sustainability: As a multi-year program we are committed to keep our promise to the youth we serve. Over the past 10 years, we have worked to:
• Build long-term relationships with funders so they think of us when investing in youth workforce development, education and training.
• Cultivate a diverse portfolio of funders and income sources to stabilize the normal fluctuations of donor cycles.
• Limit growth to a level that can be sustained over time, thus ensuring our promise is kept.
