Metro today said Bernard Blaskett, 54, opened fire on Saul Villegas, 27, who allegedly climbed into the officer’s personal vehicle Sunday night in a loading zone outside the Strip venue.

- The death of a man whose body was found in a trash bin on Monday has been ruled a homicide, the Clark County Coroner’s Office reported. he victim was identified as Carl Pane Simon, 50. He died of asphyxiation and blunt head trauma.
