A man was shot dead tonight near UNLV. Witnesses called 911 about 8 p.m. to report the sound of gunshots at the 4300 block of Escondido Street, just east of the UNLV campus.

The two other victims in the 36-hour period died in unrelated incidents after their bikes struck another vehicle attempting to make a left turn from the opposite direction.
