The effort to beef up the solar industry in southern Nevada gets some help this week from the Department of Energy and the Bureau of Land Management. The agencies are drawing up solar energy zones designed to minimize the impact of solar projects on the environment and streamline the permitting process. Scot Rutledge of Nevada Conservation League talks with Vegas INC about what that means for the future of the solar energy industry.
