Magic Kingdom performs a little magic in a dreary economy

Disney may have the last laugh in the race for vacation destinations to safeguard its profits from economic down turns.

Walt Disney Co.'s theme parks and resorts have given the company an increase in fiscal second-quarter earnings. A rather odd phenomenon in vacation destination economics, theme parks usually see a decrease in profits when people's budgets are strained while gaming businesses are able to report increases according to an MSNBC article.

Disney CEO Robert Iger credits the company's increases during this economic storm to the overall low-pricing of the company's products and packages.
