In June 2010, the Kardashian family rolled into Las Vegas, like most weekends, but this time it was for a news conference to announce the opening of a store here.

Kim and Kourtney Kardashian, along with their mother Kris Jenner, announced that the family would open Kardashian Khaos at the Mirage, a “lifestyle boutique” with products the family owns or endorses, such as clothing, jewelry and perfumes.

The shop was set to open in the former Terry Fator store a year ago, but never did.

Months later, there was still no sign of construction. In February, the Kardashians promised the store would open in June.

“We are thrilled and enthusiastic about breaking ground soon for the construction of our amazing project, Kardashian Khaos at the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas! After spending more time than anticipated laying the foundation and perfecting the formula for this one-of-a-kind concept, we are now moving forward on the tangible and visual part of the process for the opening of Kardashian Khaos,” the Kardashian team said in a statement.

It didn’t open in June either. The Terry Fator store has since moved to a smaller location near his theater, and the storefront contains a Las Vegas souvenir shop.

So what’s happened to Kardashian Khaos store?

A representative for MGM Resorts International said the store is moving forward, but a timeline has not been set to open. More details are expected to be released soon.

Until then, fans will have to wait until the family’s next weekend jaunt in Las Vegas to get their Kardashian fix.
