Sabrina Mercadante was appointed to the audit committee at Clark County Credit Union. She fills the spot vacated by Ed Zagalo, who is now on the board of directors. Mercadante has worked for the city of Henderson since June 2000.

She will work with the company’s investment services team, which is responsible for investment strategy, acquisition and due diligence, ongoing investment management and disposition. Her focus will be on retail and triple-net investments. Bates previously was regional director of Xceligent Commercial Real Estate Information and Hanley Wood Market Intelligence.

Robert Caravaggio is executive chef and director of operations at Dom DeMarco’s Pizzeria and Bar. He has almost 30 years of experience. Caravaggio has been an executive chef at restaurants such as Ferraro’s, Kahunaville Island Restaurant and Party Bar, and Carmine’s Little Italy.

Dr. Brian Lawenda, a board-certified radiation oncologist, was appointed as national director of integrative oncology and cancer survivorship at 21st Century Oncology. It has launched the Integrative Oncology Program, which is an approach to care with a focus on nutrition, exercise and stress reduction, for cancer patients in Southern Nevada. Also, Cindy Berry was promoted to vice president of Nevada operations.

Metro Police Officer Jesse Roybal now works in the office of public information. Roybal graduated the Police Academy in July 2004, and his previous assignments include the Bolden Area Command and the Northwest Area Command as a patrol officer and as a field-training officer.

Jennifer Houck is vice president and business development officer for branch operations, and Jason Zook is junior servicing assistant for the Las Vegas Small Business Administration department at Meadows Bank. Houck was previously with Plaza Bank and brings 23 years of business development experience. Zook was previously with Diamond Resorts International and has six years of contract compliance and administrative experience.

Bustamante has experience in design, construction management, design management, project management and preconstruction services. Shepard has more than a decade of experience in design and construction, primarily in the federal contracting/international development area.
