Costco Wholesale is planning to open a new store in Henderson, city records show.

Project plans filed Monday show that Costco β€” which sells everything from groceries and clothing to electronics, furniture and jewelry β€” aims to build a 150,000-square-foot warehouse on St. Rose Parkway at Amigo Street, just north of Henderson Executive Airport.

The store will have a 10-pump fuel station and more than 750 parking stalls, according to the plans, which do not say when Costco hopes to open the store or how much the project will cost.

City staff members are scheduled to review the plans Sept. 2.

Costco, based near Seattle in Issaquah, Wash., did not immediately respond today to a request for comment.

The land it’s aiming to build on is owned, at least in part, by J.A. Kennedy Real Estate Co. founder Joe Kennedy, according to government records. He did not return a call for comment.

Costco already has four locations in the valley β€” three in Las Vegas and one in Henderson.

As of May 10, the membership-based wholesaler operated 673 warehouses worldwide, including 474 in the United States, according to a securities filing.
