Atlanta? They would rather be in Atlanta? I hate that city. I won't even attend a conference there.
Vegas sucks in many ways, but we have virtually no natural disasters, the climate is dry and conducive to computing centers and we have great freeways. We also have great food.
Atlanta? The friggin kudzu hides the street signs, the neighborhoods are worse than MLK and North 5th, and they serve you burgers that are runny with blood. Ick.
Tats are bad enough, but when I see a young person with a gage in the ear, I just want to scream, " Do you know what that's going to look like when you are 50?"!
If you want to experience Margaritaville, check it out in Montego Bay, Jamaica. The waterslide dunks you into the Caribbean, the sand on your feet is real, and the rum is strong. Good times.
Best of luck to our Vegas version.
I'm not sure how this entertainment district will deal with the porn-slappers. They could totally ruin the experience.
Thank you for the interesting, informative post, OldEnviromentalLawyer.
You know what really gets me about this crash? Investors dumped stocks in perfectly sound companies and flocked to two securities: gold, (okay, I get that), and US treasury securities! The very asset which was downgraded! People are stupid.

He mentions several times in the article that he's "a big guy." The dude is barely five feet tall.

It's probably just me, because I work with technology all day, but frankly, I don't care for this. I don't want to spend time in a restaurant learning a new piece of software (or a new app). Just give me the frickin wine list, and send the waiter over. Thanks.
