I hope the addition of the restaurant will tidy the look of the place. That section of the exterior has looked like a garbage dump since Wynn left. Sorely neglected.
With all the baggage fees, I see lots of travelers arriving with just one or two bags. There would be NO problem transporting them on monorail, so let's get rid of that excuse.
There is nothing convenient about the current monorail and the only way it really works is if you want to go to the conv. center or you are staying at the Hilton. The Hilton stop makes the monorail downright convenient...quite against the way the rest of it is laid out.
What are the motel rooms like?
I like their sign but that's about it. It reeks in the casino and their "snack bar" is scary.
R.I.P. Western.
We get tired of all that mess on the sidewalks. The slappers, street performers etc... need to have their own area. I have had to step into traffic on a couple of occasions on the strip because of gawkers and street performers.

The bigger question is: What will the casino do with that large supply of golden raisens?
Hope they will be reinvesting that money in the Riviera. Fortunately, the Riviera isn't at the point of no return like the Sahara was.
If they can freshen up the rooms (please get rid of the plastic tub enclosers) and brighten up the depressing casino, things could be looking up for the Riviera. I might even venture that far north on the strip again!

I get such a weird vibe from the Cosmo Casino. I am a $1/$5 slots player and probably a little older (40's) than the age of the gambler they want to attract, but I bet I spend more money than the youngsters they try to attract to their casinos.
If they do not change the marketing approach for their casino and make it more "player friendly", they might as well close the casino and try to make their money on the hotel and bar/restaurants.
BTW..my luck at the Cosmo is disasterous. I can never even break even at that place.
