The "new" will last for a couple of years then it will be time to knock it down and make way for something new. I appreciate the effort, but it needs a total renovation, not just a refurbish.
I do like the casino. I could not stand to be in there before the re-do. And they got rid of those antique slots (TG).
Just curious...has anyone won there?

What does the interior look like?

In our op., the Cosmo restaurants and bars were very good but the staff (at rest. and hotel) could use more training. We felt many of them did not know how to handle routine problems and situations. Also, they still don't have all the glitches out of their front desk system. We have stayed their twice with extremely long waits to check in for no good reason.

: ...matter of fact, nobody knew all the details. But it should have been perfect. But in the end, we f%#$d it all up. It should have been so sweet too. But it turned out to be the last time that street guys like us were ever given anything that valuable again.

The rooms could use a facelift. What I like best about the Hilton is that it has the most convenient monorail stop. Hope they don't mess with that.

Too bad about FireFly. I thought their prices were reasonable and the food was great.
I won't be staying at the Plaza 'till I see reviews of the new rooms. The 2 times I stayed there in the ninties, it was a disaster. Especially the plumbing with slow drains and toilets that overflowed or would not flush. IF they fix their plumbing, I'm in!

Was surprised some went after mattresses and box springs. I guess a bunch of them went to Clarion? Although I never noticed bedbugs at the Sahara,If you read the bed bug registry, it sounds like there were some at the Sahara. Isn't it risky to have those mattresses?

Very pretty rooms but I hope the changes are not just cosmetic. Stayed there a couple of times in the past ten years and each time plumbing was an issue such as toilets that don't flush and slow bathtub drains.
