So you bought some property and now its worth about 50% of what you paid for it - welcome to the same reality the rest of the country is facing.

The would be plaintiffs in this case crack me up. I'm reading through their so called accusations and I can't see one thing that Trump did wrong. It's like trying to blame Trump for the shipwrecked real estate market in general.

How ridiculous that in this economy and market that you would wonder why no one wants to buy a glorified studio apartment for up to 1.5 mil. And then your solution is to sink more money into it? Another bunch of nearsighted, arrogant schmucks that will be crying the chapter 11 blues. I'm sick of hearing about it and I am sick of having my tax dollars go toward your crybaby litigation.

Aria is next with their $500 bottles of wine that no one wants.

Who is their CFO, Mr. Magoo?

How about simply and logically amending that to Chptr11?

Vegas as a dining mecca? Hardly. In the arrogant minds of some of the strip properties and some of their over priced and under serviced supposed 5 star joints and steakhouses, maybe.

Not that Top of the World at the Stratosphere is all that highly regarded, but its still a perfect example of what I mean. $100 for 2 with lousy service and mediocre food. Why? Because of the view and the hype. They would pack in the tourists when I used to go probably for the same reasons as the casinos. Because who cares, get 'em in, they're all tourists anyway, bilk them for all you can while they're here. They may not come back to vegas anytime soon anyway if at all. Turn em and burn em.

As a vegas local for many years I was floored the first time I went to San Diego for example. Lots of great dining. One place in particular whose name I won't mention because it's not relevant, but it happens to probably be my favorite restaurant. A highly regarded french bistro with its own wine cellar. Great service and ambiance. Great wines. Top notch entrees like some very well prepared NY steaks or pan seared duck. And desserts. Some really top of the line homemade desserts. The tag for 2 including gratuity? $60-70, and everything there absolutely blows away anything I've ever had in vegas at ANY so called 5 star joint on or near the strip.

Why you ask? Because they want to build loyalty and they know that locals make up a huge portion of their customer base, not just out of towners weekending in San Diego.

Here's a great marketing strategy for every business in vegas: Customer loyalty. Drop the fleece em now and ask questions later mentality.

Vegas will never recover unless and until you do. Mark my words.

You'd think some of these idiots would learn a thing or two about greed and hubris after something like this, but how much you wanna bet that they won't? They'll just move on to the next clusterf***.

More importantly, thank you Mr. Expert.

They don't have degree programs in real estate for a reason, because any idiot can do it.

I am assuming however that Mr. Boud has a PhD in obviousness.

Whatever they are paying these idiots to tell us what we already know, as a taxpayer I want a damn refund.

What I would rather know is how much of a dent could we be making in the state deficit by eliminating stupid sh** like this in the first place.

Stop wasting time and my tax dollars standing around scratching your heads babbling about it and do something already besides just attacking average middle working class families.

Its kind of funny how all the politicians, the corporations, the lobbyists, and the ultra wealthy are all in this together, driving the middle working class into the ground, cutting our pay and benefits, but leaving tax breaks for the above mentioned scum in place.

Maybe they dont see a catch-22 like this or with borders going under coming in advance, maybe they dont care.

Because at the end of the day, our discretionary spending dollars are exactly what they need to stay afloat.
