Business openings: Say hello to downtown eateries, Strip art and jewelry shops

Revitalization efforts have helped attract a number of restaurateurs to downtown Las Vegas, and now the area is getting even more flavorful.

MTO Cafe is scheduled to open Tuesday, giving downtown dwellers and visitors a place to eat breakfast and lunch. Another newcomer, Nacho Daddy, gives diners a place to enjoy dinner and some drinks.

In mid-November, a new beer garden is planned for the Plaza, providing another potential nightlife spot.

Among other new business ventures, visitors to the Strip have more places to buy a piece of fine art or a new watch, while folks in Spring Valley will soon have another dessert option.
