David Peterson is vice president of operations for education services in McCarthy Building Cos.’ Southwest division. The education services team focuses on construction and renovation projects for K-12 schools and community colleges.

The Pediatric Palliative Care Clinic at Children’s Specialty Center of Nevada opened. The clinic, at 3121 S. Maryland Parkway, Suite 300, Las Vegas, is led by Dr. Kathleen Gates and Angela Berg.

MountainView Hospital offers transcatheter aortic valve replacement for patients with aortic valve stenosis as an alternative to surgical aortic valve replacement. MountainView cardiothoracic surgeon Dr. Michael G. Wood and Dr. Jeffrey Levisman, an interventional cardiologist at HealthCare Partners Medical Group, completed the hospital’s first two transcatheter aortic valve replacement procedures.

The UNLV School of Medicine hired radiation oncologist and cancer researcher Dr. Parvesh Kumar to lead its cancer program and oversee its clinical research effort.

Nora’s Italian Cuisine broke ground at 5780 W. Flamingo Road, Las Vegas.

Dignity Health-St. Rose Dominican broke ground on its first neighborhood hospital, at Craig Road and Camino Al Norte in North Las Vegas.

My House Fitness opened at 9460 W. Flamingo Road, Las Vegas.

Dignity Health-St. Rose Dominican is building four hospitals in Southern Nevada. The first level of each will feature an emergency department, an inpatient wing, imaging and quick-access lab services. Other floors will house Dignity Health Medical Group practices, St. Rose community -outreach programs, additional physician offices and ancillary clinical services. The North Las Vegas Campus is scheduled to open during the first quarter of 2017. It will be followed by the Blue Diamond Campus, West Flamingo Campus and Sahara Campus, all in Las Vegas. As part of the expansion, St. Rose Dominican entered into a joint-venture agreement with Emerus to build and manage the sites and to lay the groundwork for additional facilities.

VanTrust Real Estate broke ground on the Northgate Distribution Center, a 120-acre industrial project at Interstate 15 and Lamb Boulevard in North Las Vegas.

The NAIOP Southern Nevada chapter won a national Chapter Merit Award for Legislative/Government Affairs from NAIOP.

Red Rock Fertility Center opened a 12,800-square-foot facility at 9120 West Russell Road, Las Vegas. It was designed by IZ Design Studio and built by SR Construction.
